Oncor Reports 2007 Energy Conservation Results
DALLAS (May 2, 2008) -- Oncor reported energy efficiency program results for 2007 to the Public Utility Commission of Texas on Thursday, May 1, citing an overall reduction in peak demand of 89,233 kilowatts and a total energy savings of 216,371,490 kilowatt hours. The peak demand reduction represented a slight decrease from 92,000 kilowatts reported in 2006. Energy savings overall increased in 2007, up from a total of 159,472,243 kilowatt hours in 2006. Put in perspective, last year’s total energy savings could run almost 13,000 homes in the Oncor service area for one year.

ONCOR TO PURCHASE CURRENT’S SMART GRID NETWORK
Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC and CURRENT Group, LLC announced today that Oncor has agreed to purchase CURRENT’s existing Smart Grid network in Dallas, Texas as well as additional equipment for approximately $90 million.

Oncor Service Area Residents Eligible for $50 Reward for Turning in Old, Working Refrigerators and Freezers
Oncor announced today that it has rolled out the Great Texas Refrigerator Roundup, a program designed to collect and recycle old, inefficient refrigerators and freezers from consumers whose power is delivered by Oncor. In addition to saving energy, eligible consumers will receive a $50 check from Appliance Recycling Centers of America (ARCA) for turning in a working refrigerator or freezer.

Oncor Cuts Outages by Half in Drive to Restore Power
Oncor is closing in on its goal of restoring power to most Dallas/Fort Worth residents by late Saturday. As of 4 p.m., 25,000 homes and business in Dallas/Fort Worth were without power or half of this morning’s total of 50,000.
